Ellen Rigg M.A. CCC-SLP, A/OGA
Ellen graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. She is passionate about helping students with literacy and language-based learning challenges succeed academically and in life.
She conducts comprehensive assessments of every student’s learning profile and develops targeted, carefully designed interventions to maximize opportunities for student success and engagement. Ellen enjoys building children’s confidence in their abilities, thus promoting greater motivation and enjoyment of the learning process. Ellen is also dedicated to helping parents learn about their child’s needs and collaborating with school team members to support student success and learning outcomes.
Unfortunately, children often go long periods of time without the supports they need to promote successful learning and, as a result, they often miss out on valuable opportunities for earlier and more effective interventions. Ellen believes that literacy is a human right, and she strives to remove barriers to identification and diagnosis of learning disabilities, as well as improve access to evidence-based teaching methods so that all children can learn to read and write.
